My Rating: 10/10

CHARACTERS:

  • Adam Lyon
  • Iman
  • Max
  • Mamma (Adam's Grandmother)
  • David Lyon (Adam's Father)
  • Sarah Lyon (Adam's Mother)
  • Mujahid Khan

STORY/PLOT:

The story revolves around a New Yorker named Adam Lyon, who is professionally a successful man.

Adam's mother Sarah Lyon had died, but his mother's death remained a mystery to him, something that his father, David Lyon, preferred never to discuss.

Adam receives a letter from Pakistan, which according to the letter is written to him by his grandmother alias Mamma, who lives in a remote area of Pakistan and wants to meet him. But it is not possible for Mamma to meet Adam herself, so she requests him to come and meet her. The letter makes Adam hesitate whether to visit Pakistan or not, but his quest to learn about his mother's life leads him to Pakistan.

As he arrives in Pakistan, Mamma's special person Mujahid Khan guides him on his journey and way to Mamma, but Adam doesn't know how strong his bond with Mujahid Khan will become as he goes on his journey to find the Truth.

On the other hand, another character is Iman who lives in a foreign country with her husband. She feels her husband's behavior towards her is a little strange for some time. In addition, there is a strange restlessness that dominates her life. In the story, the circumstances and events in her life will take her in which direction, she doesn't even have an illusion, she is just looking for her peace.

Another character in this story is Max. Who has spent his entire life on a different path. His life was burning with a fire of deprivation, the hunger of which daily urged him to bring his work to immediate completion, and how terrible his work was no one could guess.

 STORY THEME:

The theme or message of this story describes the idea that hunger for a job, hunger for an unfulfilled desire, hunger for peace or hunger for a quest takes a person in the journey of life, no one can predict. At what point this hunger takes a person, it can only be determined by the intentions of the person. The end of human's hunger depends on the positive or negative intention of the person.

 MY REVIEW:

In my opinion, this book is an excellent material, suitable for readers of all ages. The author Tanzeela k. Hasan has described the geographical beauty of Pakistan very well in this book, besides the suspense and adventure keeps the reader engaged till the last letter.

In this book, the author has described the relationship between positive and negative intentions with human hunger and its good or bad outcome in this book, in a very expert manner.
